We behind Estity are Jan Neidebro, a civil engineer in computer science, and Jens Johansson, an economist and both are entrepreneurs. We are two brothers from Umeå, Sweden who have jointly owned a property on the Sun Coast for the past ten years. Our parents and relatives have owned properties there for over thirty years. It was through our own experiences of owning a house in Spain that the idea of Estity was born.
Sweden is a digitalized country where systems and registers are interconnected to simplify property ownership. In Spain, the situation is different. It is difficult to get an overview and understand matters related to ownership and management. Information is hard to find, and it is almost always in Spanish. Contact channels are unclear, and processes are complicated. Like so many others, we have handled bureaucracy through a local representative in Spain, which not only costs money but has not made us much wiser.
We dreamed of a digital platform that provides property owners with both increased understanding and more control, making ownership easier and more profitable. A system that takes care of the complexities and maximizes the investment, so that we – and others like us – can have more time to simply enjoy life in the sun. Now, we are building that platform, and our goal is for you to be able to use it within a year.
Estity receives business support from Uminova Innovation in Umeå, one of Sweden's leading incubators, selected for Vinnova's Excellence Program. We also receive support from the Swedish research institute RISE and the innovation hub Digital Impact North in Umeå to develop the smartest and most user-friendly platform possible. These are two fantastic partners with a wealth of resources related to innovation, digitalization, and sustainable development.
We are looking for partners in the real estate industry with connections to non-resident property owners or remote ownership, as well as investors who want to join us on this journey. Don't hesitate to reach out if you are curious and want to know more.
